Sunday morning breakfast with friends. Friendly, attentive staff. Eggs with chopped steak topped with mushrooms and onions was a winner with my husband. French toast and country fried steak with eggs are solid choices. Lovely family restaurant.

Great service and good breakfast. Family friendly. I actually went here two days in a row for breakfast with my kids because I knew it was reliable. Staff was very helpful to a mom with twin 4-year-old's travelling solo.

Not no, heck no. Head up 45 and wait in line at Leifs. Stopped in for breakfast to try out a different spot than usual. Corned beef hash appeared to have come straight out of the can, coffee was church-basement weak, my friend's biscuits and gravy had a bizarre white sauce that was in no way gravy. Server had no idea what kind of hot tea they have on hand - the back-and-forth was worse than your most pretentious beer snob friend at a new gastropub. I wanted it to be at least passable, but I'll never go back.

Pass it up....Leifs is just up the road. Too bad as it is centrally located to the population of ER. Even I cook better...lol

This is my go-to breakfast place in Eagle River. Food is good and prices are competitive to better in the area, and the service is friendly and warm. They really care about their customers and the community. Yay for Friendship House!

This restaurant is terrible! If you only knew half of the things going on here you would lose your appetite. Creepy bus boy literally pulled up my friends info when she paid with a card to find out her name and then started messaging her online. I would not bring friends and family to this place unless you want them to get food poisoning from the lettuce they keep in a plastic garbage can with water. You have been warned.

Was here with a larger group. Got the "lo-cal hamburger plate." Should be simple. It was awful. The hamburger patty was well overcooked and rubbery and tasteless. It was also so greasy that the grease puddled in the plate drowning the fruit, hard boiled egg and everything in grease. Some "lo-cal." I did not say anything because I didn't want to make a scene in front of my friends. Others had omelets that looked dry and potatoes that looked greasy. I guess this is what they mean by a "greasy spoon." Next time I will go to McDonalds next door. Healthier, better tasting.

You can always count on good food at this establishment . Friendly staff, endless coffee. My wife had the Taco salad last night, and we made Nachos with Donkeys chips from left overs today for lunch. I had the Chicken breast on a chiabatta bun(forgot the actual name) it was very tasty. Yes, when were in town, we always stop in.

Great food served fast by friendly people. I had the patty melt and fries, it was one of the best I've had... Ever. My son had the jalapeno burger and really liked it. Wife loved the stuffed tomato with tuna. Daughter-in-law really enjoyed her omlette.

Food quality, service and vast amount of menu selections were well above par for diner.

Decided to go there after many years of seeing it. Went there with a larger group. It was just okay. I got the chefs salad and the salad was limp and rusty. I overheard another lady at a different table ask for a new salad as her salad was old. Some got the walley for dinner, small potion for $15.79. Can get better elsewhere. 5 cheese sticks were $6.29. Just seemed way expensive for the northwoods and not very good portions. On a plus side, the bread was good, but could not get my waitress to get more. I will not be trying it again when I visit.

Fine for breakfast because you can't really screw up breakfast. But when the pictures on the menu look bad...you know this is going to be a rough ride. If Denny's and a nursing home had a baby it would be Friendship House. Older crowd and heavy, bland, basic food. Interior is ok...northwoods diner idea. There's better out there...

Friendship House is my new favorite family restaurant in the Eagle River area. The soups taste home made are are fantastic. One of my favorite items though is the fresh whole wheat bread which automatically comes to the table. It is even possible to purchase a loaf for three dollars to take home. Each day of the week an extensive selection of daily specials are available. Some of the best menu items are the short ribs, taco salad, chicken salad sandwich, grilled cheese sandwich, and meatloaf. They are good about switching out a side or substituting a side for the potato. The food at the Rinelander location is just as good but I prefer this location because the atmosphere is better and the restaurant has a better flow to it.

About TGI Friday

TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.
